Upoko and Teresa - Maritime Room Princes Wharf Wedding

What began with a phone call, 19 years later turned into Upoko and Teresa’s wedding day.
 
All we can really say is, What a fantastic wedding!  This day was special, personalised and included everyone spending time together and partying with each other. 
 
We knew this would be a great day, especially given how organised Teresa was with everything when we initially met. Everything ran to perfect time on the day.  
 
The day began with the couple getting ready. Time was spent getting hair and makeup done. After a little rap music by Tupac to calm Teresa’s emotions and a few Coronas to settle Upoko, they both met to be married at St Johns Presbyterian Church.
 
The ceremony was short and sweet, with an emotional reading done by the couple’s children. 
 
Then we headed to the Viaduct, where bikes rode us around Viaduct Harbour, where the couple secured their hitch'd wedding padlock on the fence.  Lots of onlookers greeted and congratulated the happy bridal party. 
 
When we entered the reception venue, family and friends who are no longer present were honoured by lighting a candle.
 
The whole night was overflowing with brilliant food and drinks followed, lots of laughs, jokes and a lot of beautiful music, Cook Island dancing and singing.  
 
The couple’s children sang their first dance song with the band, Music of Tone.
 
Thank you to Teresa and Upoko letting us be part of your special day.  Both of you, your friends and family all made us feel very welcome.
