3 Top Tips for your Wedding

Your wedding day will be the day that you have imagined and thought about for a long time.  Whether you are wanting it to be a casual informal day or a grand once in a lifetime production, your wedding day should reflect what you want.  Even the most casual wedding needs to have thought put into it and the more preparation you do, the easier it will be on the wedding day.  Follow these tips to help your wedding be a talking point for your friends and family in future years.

Ceremony Decor

Decide on your theme colours and that these match throughout your wedding party and décor.  An outdoor ceremony should be set up in an area with lots of lush, fresh, green grass, ensure that path that you are walking down doesn’t pose any trip hazards, ensure you have adequate seating set up for elderly guests. Decide if you wish to have your guests having a glass of wine or other refreshing beverages while they watch your ceremony or not. Think about the time of day and month of your wedding and the direction of the sun.  Setting up your ceremony service in the wrong location could wreak havoc for your guests or yourselves as a couple if you are squinting in the direction of the sun.  An inside ceremony can be set up with candles, flowers, mats, archways. Personalise and make the ceremony aesthetics match your style.

If you have no idea about theme colours, this site here can help you with that.

Entertainment

The entertainment will really keep the wedding lively.  Make sure you find a band or musician that suits your style and you know that the guests will overall enjoy the style you have chosen. Even though this is your day and about you, your guests are present and would like to be considered.  Keep kids entertained by hiring a helper to look after them for the wedding or have games and activities ready for them, perhaps they can watch a movie in another room at the venue.  Think about the music you would like during your ceremony vs your reception.  You can help guests by providing transport to the venue, particularly if the venue is a long way out of town. Arrange discounts at local hotels for a group booking. Hire a photo booth, magician, dancer, or some other form of entertainment to keep your guests occupied.  It is also something that your wedding guests wouldn’t think of being at a wedding.  Your guests will be chatting about it at future family get togethers.

Wedding Dance

To dance or not to dance. Maybe you want to do a dance. Our advice is practice lots for this. When your MC announces you are going to dance, everyone will gather around and all eyes will be on you two. Practice makes perfect. Perhaps you don’t wish to dance and that is also fine, but we will probably ask you to do a few spins for us when we are doing your bridal portraits.

Remember that ultimately, weddings are about you and your love for each other.  Don’t let others sway your opinion on what you want for your day.
