First look wedding photos in New ZealandTo do or not to do a first look is the question. If you’re traditional you probably don’t want to even think about doing a first look. It is up to each couple to work out whether they want to do one or not. Consider the time of your ceremony, as this dictates whether the lighting will be harsh or whether it will be too dark for couple photos if you are having an evening ceremony. You should allow enough time for your first look, aim to have at least an hour before your guests start arriving for your ceremony so that you aren’t seen by them. Doing a first look for your wedding photos is perfect for couples who want to spend time before the ceremony together. The pressure and attention is off you, meaning you will both be less anxious. Spending quiet time together before the ceremony can take the nerves off. It enables you to connect together before the wedding officially kicks off. It is full on from the moment your guests arrive at the ceremony and a first look gives you some breathing space together. If you get your first look done, it enables you to spend more time with your guests after the ceremony and at the reception. It’s the perfect chance to have first look photos with your kids as well! Or perhaps, you would like a first look with one parent or both! If you are having a winter wedding in New Zealand, especially at night, a first look can give you precious time together in natural light before it gets too dark.
