20 Tips from Brides

Here’s 20 top tips from brides who have gone through the process of planning and the excitement of their wedding day.  Read these great wedding tips to make your wedding stress free.

  • Don’t feel the need to invite people you hardly ever see.

  • A steamer will work wonders to get rid of any creases on dresses or suits.

  • Make sure your event plan is solid.  Have all suppliers phone numbers written down and with you (or with your trusted contacts, see below) on the day.

  • Delegate - Make sure you have two contacts that suppliers are able to get in touch with on the day.

  • Invest in a wedding videographer.

  • Marry in an off-peak season if your wedding budget is tight.

  • Make sure your wedding dance is rehearsed.

  • Don’t stress about creating the Pinterest perfect look you have seen.

  • Get the celebrant to ask you both to turn and acknowledge your guests during the ceremony.

  • Take an extra pair of shoes in case your heels are killing you.

  • Have time out just 5 minutes for the two of you to relax and enjoy.

  • The following day take your flowers to a retirement home.

  • Think about the small details. Nice bathroom soaps and perfumes for guests to freshen up, customised music playlists, activity books for children.

  • Discuss what you and your partner truly want your wedding to entail.

  • Enjoy being engaged.  You don’t have to rush into wedding planning straight away.

  • Discuss your flowers with your florist and how they will hold up during the day.

  • Get to know your vendors.

  • Pack some hay fever tablets and a sewing kit.

  • Book in your hair and makeup artists early.  The same goes with your venue and your photographer.

  • Think about the jewellery you will wear on your big day to make sure they will match with your hair.

As part of our service at Natalie Pasco Photography, we discuss all your timeline and plans around what you are doing for your wedding day.  This lets us know more about your day and also acts as a cross check for you to make sure you have covered all the important things.  Depending on your package and location we can also do a site visit to make sure we know the logistics of your ceremony and reception venues.
